Tiffany Lucey is a Supervisor of Instruction with twenty years of experience in education and ten in corporate. Committed to equity and sustainability in student learning she works diligently to use plugged and unplugged tools to provide students with voice and choice to solve authentic problems. As an educational leader she trains more than 1,400 staff members impacting 15,000 students.
She has served as Principal Investigator, co-author and administrator of millions of dollars in grant funding to Toms River Regional Schools including the $762,000 ONR NAVAIR 3-year grant. She co-founded the 4,000 person annual Jersey Shore Makerfest, and has facilitated the renovation and training of staff for makerspaces in each of the nineteen district buildings. As an instructional leader Ms. Lucey helps teachers utilize technology in their classrooms, links curriculum with instruction, and connects student needs with school leaders. Her expertise is shared beyond the district on an ongoing basis through her service to boards and presentation to local and global organizations. As an educator, she has taught middle school through college-level mathematics and computer science, and has become known for her creative interdisciplinary approach to learning. She has been awarded Teacher of the Year, and served as a Curriculum Coordinator. She is committed to the sustainability and growth of Toms River and creating a sustainable future for all children through practices and participation.
