Lewis Steller is a queer and transgender science educator interested in ambitious and equitable science education for all students. He is one of the founders of the Gender-Inclusive Biology Project, which provides free, science-based resources to students and educators interested in learning about the diversity of sex, gender, and sexuality in humans and the natural world. Lewis currently teaches science for grades 7-12 in a bilingual Friends school in Monteverde, Costa Rica, after teaching middle and high school science for nine years in the Seattle area. His work focuses on combining social justice and science education in curriculum design, skills, content, and pedagogy for the inclusive classroom.
