Karen Romano Young is a writer, illustrator, polar explorer, and deep sea diver. She is the author of more than two dozen books. Karen’s science comic #AntarcticLog has appeared in Muse magazine, in its own Instagram account, and around the internet. Her work in education and outreach has taken her to museums and aquariums around the country, to the Arctic and Antarctic aboard ships for the NASA ICESCAPE mission and International Ocean Discovery Program, and in the Pacific aboard EV Nautilus. Her next book, Diving For Deep-Sea Dragons, is a graphic novel about her experience diving in Alvin.
