The United Nation’s climate meetings in Paris went past the deadline and will extend into the weekend to reach an agreement. Scientific American’s David Biello describes a coalition that has emerged for a more ambitious final agreement that pushes to keep the temperature increase under 1.5 degrees Celsius.
