Chevy Volt
We caught up with Elizabeth Lowery, Vice President for Environment and Energy at General Motors, at the 2007 New York International Auto Show. Lowery told us about GM's new Chevy Volt - which, like a hybrid, has both an engine and a battery. (GM doesn't call it a hybrid because the car runs off of the battery only; the engine is only used to power the battery). The Volt is still in the "concept" phase, which means it probably won't be at your dealer anytime soon. What is the future of this plug-in? Produced by Flora Lichtman Viewed 6606 times.
