| Just over a year ago, the LCROSS impactor slammed into the surface of the moon. Initial results indicated the presence of water on the moon. This week, researchers unveiled a more detailed picture of lunar composition, with a series of papers published in the journal Science. The lunar soil, a material called regolith, contains many different compounds, including hydroxyl, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ammonia, free sodium, and even silver. We'll talk about the team's findings and what they mean.. |
