Last week, a NASA mission paid a visit to comet Hartley 2, flying by at a distance of just a few hundred miles. The mission, known as EPOXI, was a re-purposing of an existing spacecraft, the Deep Impact probe. The craft was sent to fly through the coma of the comet, perform a tight turn while within the coma, and escape out the other side -- all while collecting images and data. We'll talk about what they learned.
