The Incredible Shrinking Proton?
| New measurements from a group of physicists indicate that the proton may be about 4 percent smaller than previously thought. The find, published last week in the journal Nature, has the potential to shake up the world of physics if it is confirmed. Changes to the measurement of the photon could mean that other measurements -- or our understanding of the basic laws of physics -- may be a little off as well. We'll talk about the experiment, how it was conducted, and what it might mean. |
