Reporting inThe Lancet, researchers write that a preliminary study shows embryonic stem cell therapy in two patients with macular degeneration was safe. Results suggest the patients’ vision improved slightly. Co-author, Advanced Cell Technology’s Dr. Robert Lanza discusses the trial.
