What's Your Doctor Writing? Checking Your Medical Records
You're at the doctor's office, and she's scribbling away on your chart -- but what is she writing? Is it important? Is it correct? A movement is seeking to give patients easier access to the notes taken by doctors during medical visits. In 'Open Notes,' a trial project set to begin this summer, patients of about 100 physicians will be able to review their doctor's notes after a visit by logging on to a secure web site. We'll talk about the project and the pros and cons of the practice.
