Hoarding

Got stuff? Got more and more and more stuff? We'll talk about the psychology of compulsive hoarding -- the excessive collection of objects that a person is psychologically unable to discard. Draft revisions for DSM-V (the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) suggest listing compulsive hoarding as a separate disorder, not merely a subset of Obsessive Compulsive behavior. We'll talk about the condition, and what is known about the psychology of hoarders.
