A Solar Deal for China
US-based eSolar has licensed its technology for use in a 2 GW solar thermal power installation in China. The plants constructed under the deal would use fields of mirrors called heliostats to heat water within a central 'power tower.' Earlier this year, Arizona-based First Solar announced a similar-scale deal with China. We'll talk with the CEO of eSolar about solar power in China, and what it might mean for US power plants.
