Robotic surgeons and cars that drive themselves may sound like the makings of a sci-fi flick, but they're just items on the to-do list for employees at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA. In this segment, we'll chat with author Michael Belfiore. He's author of the book "The Department of Mad Scientists: How DARPA Is Remaking Our World, from the Internet to Artificial Limbs," going inside the secretive research branch of the Department of Defense.
