Once upon a time, scientists finished doctoral programs and got research and teaching positions at universities. But that's practically a fairy tale for today's young scientists. The fact is that the applicant pool is growing and the number of jobs is shrinking. So what's a nation to do? We'll talk about the problem and possible solutions in this hour of Science Friday.
