Despite a sexist view of women, it is an interesting exploration of life in two dimensions.Jeff WilsonThe "sexist view" is meant to be satirical. The entire first part of the book is a satire of Victorian attitudes, with minimal mathematical interest. I had a friend who threw the book down due to the lack of math in this part, and never made it to the last part, which is where it gets really interesting, in my opinion.Mathew Sympsun
