Mazda’s concept cars were focused on design. Nagare means “flow” in Japanese and according to the designers I spoke with, flowiness is Mazda’s new design direction.

The Nagare car was shown in blue, which is supposed to give the car “a translucent feel like slate rock under river water,” Mazda says. Inspired by natural patterns, like wind-blown sand and lava flows, Nagare is how Mazda envisions sports cars will look in 2020. Do you agree?
