This month, the book club revisits another classic, The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton, first published in 1969. According to his website, Crichton wrote the techno-thriller while he was still in medical school and it "caused an immediate sensation... partly because it focused on a biological crisis when most people were thinking about nuclear crises." The book was a best-seller, and was made into a movie and a TV mini-series. (No cheating. You can Netflix those after you read the book.)

Get started--the book club meets again on January 25, 2013.
