Thanks to everyone who has entered our Winter Nature Photo Contest. Although the contest closes to submissions today at 2 p.m. EST, we still invite your participation—in this case, to vote!

You may vote up to three times a day for your favorite entries by going here. The photo that receives the most votes will become a finalist. Voting during this round ends Friday, March 8, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. EST. [EDITOR’S NOTE: The contest is closed, and the website with entries unavailable.]

Meanwhile, a professional photographer chosen by Science Friday will also select 10 top contenders, and the Science Friday staff will pick a favorite photo as well (one that wasn’t selected by our judge).

Science Friday will then post the 12 finalists to our website by 2:00 p.m. EST on Monday, March 11, 2013. Once the finalists are posted, you may vote for your favorite photo. (Note that this time, you may only vote once, so choose wisely!) This round of voting will end at 10 a.m. EST on March 15, 2013.

The contestant whose photo receives the most votes will be the winner of the 2013 Winter Nature Photo Contest. Science Friday will announce the winner on air on March 15, 2013.
